Renewal of Registration   AND   Policy on Registration of OTs working in positions not identified as "Occupational Therapist"

Renewal of Registration

Applications for renewal of registration, together with the Board's sixth annual newsletter, were posted to the profession on 11 May 2006.

Occupational therapists should note that BOTH the annual practice fee of $180 AND the duly completed application for renewal form must be forwarded to the Board for renewal to be processed.

A generic renewal form has been made available online so that registered therapists who do not receive their original copy (for example, because they have changed address and forgotten to inform us) or who have lost/misplaced their original, can download a replacement. (note that this form is no longer available - refer to "Registration - Renewal" on this website for the current generic form)

Policy on Registration of OTs working in positions not identified as "Occupational Therapist"

The Board has, on the recommendation of the Council of Occupational Therapist Registration Boards (Aust & NZ) Inc. ("COTRB") adopted a policy regarding therapists working in positions which are not identified as "occupational therapist".

This policy sets out the guidelines for determining when registration/practising certificate is required for therapists in these positions. This policy is set out on the "Publications - Other Guidelines/Policies" section of this website, or can be viewed by clicking on the following link: View Policy regarding OTs working in positions not identified as "occupational therapist"
