Board Policy - Assistants in OT Practice
Following consultation with the profession and OT AUSTRALIA SA, the Board has now finalised and adopted its policy for registered OTs regarding assistants in occupational therapy practice. English Language Policy - Update
The Board has recently updated its policy regarding English language proficiency to bring it into line with the requirements of the Council of Occupational Therapists Registration Boards (COTRB).
The policy has been amended so that a result in the IELTS test must be "a minimum score of seven (7) in each of the four components (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination (Academic Module).".
The previous requirement was for a minimum overall of seven (7) in the Academic Module. The revised policy is available under the "Publications - Other Guidelines/Policies" section of this website and is also included in the Guidelines on Registration booklet.
Board Prize
The Board congratulates the winner of the 2006 Ethical & Clinical Practice Prize for the Masters of Occupational Therapy (Graduate Entry), University of South Australia - Ruth Catherine Semler.
