ONGOING COMPETENCY
Under the new Occupational Therapy Practice Act the Board is required to monitor and ensure the professional competence and fitness to practise of all registered therapists.
In order to fulfil this requirement, the Board has drafted an Ongoing Competency Model, and is in the process of forming a Review Committee to consider this document. Membership of the Committee will be as follows: 2 representatives from the University of South Australia; 2 representatives from OT AUSTRALIA SA; 2 Board members; and the Registrar.
Once the Committee have finalised the draft Model it will be placed on this website under "What's New" for comment by the profession. Further information will be provided as this matter progresses.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The draft Code of Conduct (revised under the new Act) was forwarded to the Minister for Health for approval on 29 March 2007.
