The Board endorsed the Ongoing Professional Development Guidelines for OT's in July 2009. Subsequently submission of a completed Ongoing Professional Development Plan will be required for the next annual return.

A copy of the Ongoing Professional Development Guidelines for Occupational Therapists and associated documents was posted to all practitioners on 26 August 2009. Additional copies are available to download from the Board’s website under the menu “Ongoing PD”, or can be purchased from the Board for $20.

Orientations Sessions are available to clarify any questions about the Ongoing PD Guidelines. The following sessions have been planned at this stage:

14th September – 4th year OT students only, during their 401 Portfolio subject

29th October –OT Australia SA Combined State Conference/Country Forum

9th November (9-10:30) – 2E05 Seminar Room, Lyell McEwin Hospital

10th November (3:30-5) – Telehealth Unit, Women’s and Children’s Hospital

24th November (3-4:30) – Group Rooms 3 & 4, Rehabilitation Building, Repatriation General Hospital

Teleconferences with country regions are available on request.

Presentations to OT Special Interest Groups will be offered from November.
