RENEWAL OF REGISTRATION
Applications for renewal of registration, together with the Board's fifth annual newsletter, were posted to the profession on 5 May 2005.
Occupational therapists should note that BOTH the annual practice fee of $160 AND the duly completed application for renewal form must be forwarded to the Board for renewal to be processed.
Please attend to renewal of registration by 31 May 2005.
A generic renewal form has been made available online so that registered therapists who do not receive their original copy (for example, because they have changed address and forgotten to inform us) or who have lost/misplaced their original, can download a replacement. HEALTH & COMMUNITY SERVICES COMPLAINTS COMMISSIONER
The Health & Community Services Complaints Act successfully passed through Parliament and was assented to on 8 July 2004.
Ms Leena Sudano has been appointed as South Australia's first H&CS Commissioner. Ms Sudano has worked in Australia and Britain as a nurse and midwife and held senior roles in such areas as health and public advocacy.
Work will now begin to establish the Commission, including setting up an office and staff, and it is expected that this will be complete by 1 July 2005.
