Code of Professional Conduct & Practice
The Occupational Therapy Board of South Australia has a Code of Professional Conduct and Practice, setting out the rules of conduct which should
be observed by registered persons in the provision of occupational therapy services. Any breach of the Code by any registered
person or occupational therapy service provider will, of itself, amount to unprofessional conduct.
This Code was revised under the Occupational Therapy Practice Act 2005 and prepared with input from stakeholders including members of the profession, OT Australia, the Health and Community Services Complaints Commissioner, the Health Consumers Alliance SA, the Department of Health, and the Crown Solicitor'sOffice. The Code was approved by the Minister for Health on 27 August 2008 and distributed to the profession and relevant stakeholders in October 2008.
